The Heart of a Wanderlust

Those of us with wanderlust are possessed by an innate need for travel and adventure.

We crave exploration and are always seeking new places to wander in. Although we as travelers love to find new globe-trotting adventures, we all have that one special place where we've left our heart. That one country or city that we proclaim we will return to one day. For me that one place is Positano, Italy (personal photo from my trip featured above).

I don't travel as much as I'd like to and so far I've only been to four countries and twice as many states. I've seen beautiful mountain-scapes, the bluest of oceans and quaint and colorful cities.

Out of all the gorgeous countrysides and interesting cultures I've had the pleasure of experiencing, Positano on the Amalfi Coast of Italy really stood out to me.

In my opinion Positano has it all. Huge mountains and rock cliffs jutting out into the pristine turquoise ocean. Multicolored cliffside villas surrounded by vibrantly colored flowers, delicious food and drink and friendly people with a rich culture.

And if you travel a little further to Napoli you'll find the ruins of Pompeii which are one of the best preserved archaeological sites in Italy. What more could anyone ask for when visiting a new and exciting place? I can say with 100% certainty that I have left my heart in Positano. So what about you? Where have you left your heart?
