The start of a new year is a great time to set new goals into motion.

As travelers we always have travel goals we want to meet. I have created this 2016 Travel Goals Worksheet to help you do just that!

Let's start by clicking this link to download and print out your worksheet.

Pour yourself a glass of wine, grab some pens (the pretty sparkly kind) and get in a comfy spot. The first box asks you to list three destinations that you'd like to visit. As adventure seekers we usually have a bazillion places that we want to go. List your top three in this box. The next box asks you to list the three top points of interest in each place. This can be a famous landmark, historical site, nature setting or anything that is important for you to experience.

Now we go onto the third box which asks you to narrow down your choices to one. Take some time with this. Think about which adventure scares you the most or which will have the biggest impact on your life. Once you have your dream destination figured out, go onto box number four and jot down when you'd like to go. This can be a time of year or an exact date if you have that info.

The fifth box is where you will jot down how much money you will need to save for this trip. You might want to do a little research for this and jot down a rough estimate. In the sixth box you will break down that amount into monthly amounts so you know how much you will need to put away each month.

Now your trip is planned out and your goal set into motion!

The last box on the bottom is for you to jot down a positive affirmation that will motivate, encourage and inspire you to take this trip! This can be anything that speaks to you. Scour google for inspirational travel quotes if you need help finding one that fits. When I took my first solo excursion I used the mantra/affirmation "I can do this". Simple yet effective and I chanted this whenever I needed a little encouragement on my travels. Once you have your positive affirmation box filled out (all prettily and sparkly) cut it out and hang it somewhere that you will see it everyday. This is an important factor in helping you to stay motivated.

Once you have your trip planned leave a comment and let me know where you're going!

If you have more than one trip planned for this coming up year print out as many of these worksheets as you need. Setting up your travel goals in the start of the year will help you to achieve those awesome life experiences you crave.

Happy travels!
